Avoid Wrinkles: Eat Less Sugar

"The latest way to fight lines? Clean up your diet. We now know
eating a high-sugar diet will accelerate the aging process, says
Heidi Waldorf, MD, director of Laser and Cosmetic Dermatology at
Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. What's to blame? A
process called glycation, where sugar in your bloodstream gets
bound to collagen and elastin- the support structure of your skin-
ultimately leading to the formation of not-so-fine lines. The good
news is that it's never too late to reverse the effects, says Dr.
Waldorf. Simply sticking to no more than one sugary treat a day,
she says, could improve your skin texture in as little as two months."
