Laugh Away High Blood Pressure

"A good chuckle increases the level of endorphins- feel-
good hormones- in your body while reducing the kind that
causes anxiety. Relieving stress can help fend off hypertension
(a blood pressure of more than 140/80). In fact, a recent
Japanese study found that people who participated in laughter
yoga- a combination of breathing exercises and laughter-
decreased their blood pressure by 5 mm Hg on average after
three months. So watch your favorite comedy, crack a joke or
make up a funny word- whatever sends you into stitches!"
