Burger King Fries
Burger King's New Fries ARE Gluten-Free
"The folks at Burger King have just confirmed that their new fry recipe, the first change since 1998, is gluten-free. The new fries are thicker, with reduced sodium and a coating that makes them crisper and keeps them hotter. They have been available in all of Burger King locations since December 5."

Top 12 Diet Tips for 2012
"Simple food strategies to renew you in the new year.
For me, the end of December always signifies a time of transition: out with the old, in with the new. A time to make way for new lifestyle habits that will make 2012 a healthier, slimmer year. No matter where you fall on the Fat Flush spectrum of detox, ongoing weight loss and/or maintenance, these twelve easy tips and recipes are sure to tease and please:
1.) Flax seeds are a hormonal treasure-house of nutrients like lignans that are breast and prostate protective. Try adding one tablespoon of ground flaxseed (kept cool in pantry, fridge, or freezer) to grains and veggie sides before serving. Or slice up apples, pears, and nectarines and roll in ground flaxseeds with cinnamon. Flax is fabulous for speeding up elimination and helps to balance hormones.
2.) Use reduced-sodium, wheat-free Tamari to replace soy sauce. Reduced-sodium Tamari contains 700 mg of sodium per tablespoon as compared to 900-1000 mg of sodium per tablespoon in most regular Tamari soy sauces. Add 1 teaspoon (233 mg of sodium) for great flavor in sauces, meatloaf and even on fresh veggies – minus the added wheat and salt that can create allergic responses and water retention in many individuals.
3.) To replace whole milk in soups and sauces, substitute unsweetened coconut milk or diluted cream (½ water with ½ real cream). Even those with lactose or casein intolerance, seem to tolerate real cream well because it is metabolized as a fat.
4.) Going grain free? Puree winter squash, broccoli, carrots, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, and peas as a side dish drizzled with a drop of virgin olive oil or macadamia nut oil for a nutty flavor.
5.) For hardcore burger lovers, try 1 teaspoon of Angostura Bitters to 1 pound of lean ground beef (I adore the Ranch Foods Direct) to substitute for bacon, cheese, and mayo. Ground turkey can always replace ground beef in loaves and makes a great “turkey burger” with a dash of cumin, garlic and onion powder.
6.) For additional fat-fighting fiber, mix 1 – 2 tablespoons of chia seeds in the kids’ cereal. Just one ounce (or tablespoonful) yields about 10 grams of soluble fiber. That’s more than ½ of the USDA recommended daily amount, and nearly 5 grams of protein. What a seed!
7.) Cranberry sauce is a low sodium, high antioxidant and virtually fat-free replacement for heavy gravies on meat, fish, or poultry this time a year. Blend ½ cup cranberries (fresh or frozen thawed) with ½ cup raspberries, ½ teaspoon orange zest and ½ teaspoon Flora Key or Stevia Plus. Heat in a saucepan for about two minutes until smooth.
8.) Grated orange peel or lemon rind (make sure these are organic) can be mixed into some ground nutmeg for a zesty cooking pickup. Add to fish or chicken before broiling and sprinkle on squash before baking.
9.) Horseradish (the herb of the year) and plain yogurt come together as a quick and easy dip, or a sauce for fish and veggies. Simply add 1 tablespoon of prepared horseradish to 1 cup of yogurt, and mix.
10.) Arrowroot is a fantastic thickening agent substitute for corn starch or flour – it’s a gluten-free enhancer that adds extra calcium to foods and is easily digested.
11.) One of my Fat Flush secrets is this: if you crave something sweet, satisfy that craving with something sour. A simple, healthy pickle is just the ticket! Cut 8 cucumbers into spears and drop in a medium bowl with 1 cup apple cider vinegar, 1 minced garlic clove, 2 teaspoons fresh dill and a dash of tumeric. Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours. Enjoy as a snack or slice on salads and burgers.
12.) A high-protein smoothie from my Smoothie Shakedown is the perfect snack on-the-go that can satisfy an encroaching snack-attack. They’re so easy to make and take! You’ll need 8 oz of water (or cran-water), 1 scoop of Fat Flush Body Protein, 1 serving of fresh or frozen fruit and 1 tablespoon of flaxseed oil. Combine in a blender until smooth. Experiment with different fruits and combinations, and try adding cinnamon or ginger for an extra kick!
It has been a wonderful privilege connecting with you on so many fronts this year. Your comments and feedback on Facebook, the Forum, and my blog keep me in touch with what really matters to you about health, diet, detox, and on the energy medicine frontier. Soon, we will be able to share even more online as I get ready to launch our video blogs (or “vlogs”). We have just built a special studio here in the Inland Northwest where I can film, interview, and answer your questions in real time. These vlogs are another medium for a personal connection where we can share and learn. Can’t wait – I must say.

Phosphates Not Heart-Healthy
"Phosphates are commonly found in microwavable meals,
soft drinks and other processed and prepackaged foods.
Now researchers at the University of Sheffield, UK, have
demonstrated a connection between the high intake of
phosphates and atherosclerosis, or hardening of the arteries,
a leading cause of heart disease.
The research shows that cholesterol deposits in the walls
of arteries increase following a higher phosphate diet. This
leads to narrowing of the arteries, the cause of most heart
attacks and strokes."

Make Bile Your Number 1 New Year's Priority
Bile- the quart size missing ingredient for daily detox and effortless weight loss.
You know that probably nothing you can do in 2012 to lessen your toxic load or control your weight will be as important as keeping your liver in tip top shape. Most of us are familiar with herbal liver detoxifiers like milk thistle, Oregon grape root, and dandelion root. But these pale in comparison to the power of your own bile.
Your liver, in its innate wisdom, synthesizes and secretes about 1 ½ quarts of this miraculous substance on a daily basis and then stores it in the gallbladder. Bile is the daily key to absorbing and assimilating fat as well as serving as the toxic waste dump for excess chemicals, hormones, drugs, heavy metals and other toxins that eventually need to be eliminated by the body. If you have a persistent roll of fat at your waistline, your liver may have stopped processing fat – due to a bile shortage – and begun storing it!
Only when you rebuild those bile levels, will you lose that fat – for good – and achieve the super health you deserve in the coming year.
Remember that fat – not carbohydrates – is the preferred fuel source for your body’s trillions of cells. Why, even your cell membranes and vital organs are full of fat. That’s why your brain is over 50% fat, your liver is nearly 5 pounds of fat and your kidneys, retinas, and endocrine system are composed of fat.
Without enough bile, your body simply can’t absorb the fat-soluble vitamins like Vitamin A (the infection fighter), Vitamin E (the fertility vitamin), Vitamin K (the bone health healer) and Vitamin D (the healing hormone-like vitamin that increases immunity and wards off breast and colon cancers).
The problem is that bile can be hampered from doing its job because of a lack of bile nutrients (like lecithin), congestion or even clogged bile ducts which hamper bile flow and result in less bile production.
The way I see it, there are two solutions to this problem.
You can consider a gallbladder flush (to be administered under your health care professional’s guidance) which usually consists of Epsom salts, grapefruit juice, apple juice and olive oil, or simply restore the missing bile salts– which is imperative especially if you no longer have your gallbladder.
The latter is the relatively easier fix, although some individuals definitely may need a good cleanse.
For those without a gallbladder, Cholacol would be my choice. It is a Standard Process product which UNI KEY can order for you if you cannot find it elsewhere. Cholacol contains a proprietary blend of 700 mg of bile salts with Collinsonia Root.
With protein meals that contain fat, HCL+2 would be my recommendation. The “+2” refers to 65 mg of an ox bile extract. The hydrochloric acid component triggers the gallbladder to dump bile, so less bile would be needed in the presence of hydrochloric acid than the straight bile salts.
With the coming of a new year, it’s a wonderful time to reflect on the past year and appreciate the commitment you have made to super health. Look at all the progress you’ve made! I am excited to be your partner in your continuing efforts on the road to wellness.
Together let’s celebrate, at long last, the return to fats and their proper assimilation so all systems are a “go” for a stellar 2012.

Laugh At Stress
"Seeing humor in annoying situations can cut stress. According
to a study of nearly 150 college students, those who complained to
friends felt less satisfied than those who put their problems in
a funny or positive light- likely because venting keeps angry thoughts
alive. Frustrated? Ask yourself what aspects of your situation are so
absurd you can't help but laugh."

Chocolate Cravings
"Eliminating the sweet stuff from your diet won't end
your yearning, and may even make you want chocolate more.
Instead, enjoy just a bite or two when you are not tired,
stressed or famished. This helps disrupt the environmental
cues that trigger your cravings. When you are hungry, turn
to a healthier food, such as low-fat yogurt or crunchy fruit."

A Happier You For The Holidays
Stress less with healing affirmations and flower power.
Holidays provide us with the perfect opportunity to reconnect with what’s really important in life and to reach out to friends and family.
But in the hustle and bustle of festivities, the holidays can be challenging in a number of ways. When I get harried, hassled and hungry, I try to remind myself of how important the daily messages that the mind sends the body can impact wellbeing and the ability to cope with stress.
And somehow I remind myself about the water.
Researcher Masaru Emotio, PhD, who was trained in alternative medicine, published a book of photographs of water crystals he had exposed to negative and positive emotions. Those photographs, taken through a dark field microscope show the perfect crystals of the water that had been exposed to emotions like love, words like gratitude, or thoughts of Mother Teresa, and in contrast, the twisted, almost tortured crystals exposed to hateful and negative words and images.
If water crystals can be so dramatically impacted by words and thoughts, can you imagine what is going on in your own body?
Your body believes every word and thought you think, and so practicing a positive belief system is as important as taking your daily vitamins and minerals. By focusing on what you are thankful for, you are also reinforcing acceptance and love of yourself—the one person who is often overlooked, undervalued and ignored during this time of year.
Used on a daily basis, these affirmations can also help to heal and realign your mind with your body and your spirit:
1. I appreciate and am grateful for all things.
2. My life overflows with abundant health, love, and creative expression.
3. I give thanks for the many blessings that I experience in my life.
My other favorite go-to remedy this time of year is the Bach’s Rescue Remedy. The Bach Flower Remedies were developed in the 1930s by Dr. Edward Bach, to help people relieve troubling mental states such as rejection, abandonment, betrayal, loss and lack of connectedness, worry, anxiety, uncertainty, and fear. While there are 38 remedies in total, Rescue Remedy seems to cover the most ground. It helps you move through all kinds of stressful situations from minor tensions to acute states that encompass a whole range of emotions especially during the holiday season. It is very calming for everything from everyday tensions to major tragedies.
I have been known to take the Bach remedies straight from the bottle, but it is recommended that you take two drops in water and sip at intervals throughout the day. Take four drops minimum four times per day. You can even place the remedy on your wrists and temples for added stress relief!
On a personal note, my world is a merrier place because of all of you. I wish you and your family a wonderful Holiday season with happiness, joy and prosperity throughout the coming year!

Is Contamination of Pure Oats a World Wide Problem?
"If farmers grow rye, wheat, and barley in addition to oats,
and if the processors handle these grains, then cross-contamination
is a significant problem. Processors who claim their oats are pure
need to provide evidence that proves it. The Canadian Celiac Association,
for example, has a position paper on oats that describes requirements
for growing, processing, testing and labeling of pure oats. These
strategies have led to the production of oat products that are safe."

Erase Dark Circles, Wrinkles, and Rosacea From The Inside Out
Your skin doesn’t lie….read your face like a book.
It provides so many clues – when properly deciphered – that can lead you to the underlying causes of many outward beauty conditions that plague us all.
We all love a quick fix that reflects cutting-edge science or simple healing wisdom passed down through the ages. Here are some of my favorites that can help transform your complexion from porous to porcelain, dull to daunting, and dry to dewy.
Combine these with the brightening, lightening, hydrating, and natural sunscreen properties of BeauCle and you can kiss those facial worries goodbye.
Dark Circles
These are often a signal of parasites or allergies which in turn are a big time adrenal and liver stressor. A parasitic infection can often create an allergic response – especially to gluten-rich grains and milk. Blood tests can show an elevated eosinophil count – a type of white blood cell that is produced when the immune system is challenged. I have never seen a client with persistent dark circles, who didn’t also have an “uninvited guest” that was picked up from travel, uncooked food, excess salad bar consumption, pets, or changing baby’s diapers. The Rx is simple: a colon cleanse that targets both the microscopic and larger organisms that often reside side by side in the body these days. You will know you are on the right track when the dark circles begin to fade, which can take anywhere from two weeks to two months
Wrinkles
Taking 500 to 5000 mg (and sometimes more) of vitamin C daily will help build and maintain collagen – the vital anti-wrinkle skin protein which diminishes as we get older. Collagen fibers provide the skin’s firmness by creating a protein net. The decrease in this key protein reduces the plumping or moisturizing agent. Consequently the collagen fibers become flaccid and fibrous, and the now thinning epidermis becomes flaccid which results in wrinkles and lines.
The collagen building property of vitamin C is so crucial that I always suggest a Vitamin C challenge to find out how much collagen-critical C your unique body chemistry needs, so it can shift into beautification mode for your skin.
For this challenge, simply take 1,000 mg of Time-C several times throughout the day until bowel tolerance. Once you have achieved this level, cut back to the acceptable/comfortable dosage – sometimes up to 7 or 8 mg in some cases! Vitamin C is also a precursor for glutathione – that toxic waste eliminator so you are getting a double whammy of health benefits – fresh collagen and a systemic detox at the same time. The amino acid proline (500–1,000 mg) also can help strengthen collagen.
As you may know, Vitamin C can be used as a topical agent, too. BeauCle’s Ultra Hydrating Moisture and Overnight Corrective Crème both contain a unique cosmecuetical ingredient – a stable, oil soluble form of vitamin C – that not only helps rebuild collagen but has been documented in research studies to lighten dark spots for overall smoothness and toning.
Rosacea, rashes, and dermatitis
A severe lack of hydrochloric acid- most prevalent after the age of 40-years-young – can often be at the root cause of all three of these conditions. This is especially true if you are already taking daily probiotics and supplementating with essential fatty acids (especially gamma linolenic acid or GLA) which are both linked to these conditions.
Diagnosing insufficient stomach acid is a tricky problem because the symptoms for too little are often the same those for too much. A simple tow tech way to assess your individual needs is with a hydrochloric acid supplement in the middle of a meal and right after. Choose a hydrochloric acid supplement that contains at least 500 to 550 mg of betaine hydrochloride and about 150 mg of pepsin. Start with one or two per day and increase your intake gradually. As soon as you feel a burning sensation or warmth in your stomach, cut back to a more comfortable dosage. I find that most individuals tolerate about 2 – 3 per meal, unless there is a severe deficiency, in which case, you might consider the Heidelburg Test which involves swallowing a capsule to monitor pH. (Note that those taking an antacid medication should check with their physician and do not take HCL if there is a pre-ulcerative or ulcerative condition or you are taking anti-inflammatory meds such as Motrin, Butazoldin, or aspirin).
For the topical fix, look to the Australian daisy extract which I chose for BeauCle – a natural to help quell redness and inflammation, regardless of the cause.
Dryness
GLA increases cell resilience and moistens the fatty layer beneath the skin, delivering a multitude of beautifying benefits such as producing a dewy complexion, soothing dry, scaly skin, nourishing straw-like hair, and strengthening brittle nails. Even environmentally damaged and habitually dry skin received renewed moisture and smoothness. The GLA properties contained in borage oil are so notable in enhancing skin health that both the Journal of American Academy of Dermatology and the British Journal of Dermatology recognizes its benefits.
Besides giving you a dewy complexion, essential fats from black currant seed oil or borage can provide sheen for your hair and softness to your skin. Without them you can experience thinning hair, splitting nails, scaly or dry skin. GLA has a tremendous impact on your skin by increasing your body’s energy production and creating more cell resilience and a strong moisture barrier.
Numerous studies have been conducted with hydrating and healing borage oil – which contains up to 24% GLA – a much higher concentration than evening primrose oil (8%) or black currant seed oil (15%). GLA has a tremendous impact on your skin by increasing your body’s energy production and creating more cell resilience and a stronger intracellular moisture barrier. For an internal beauty bonanza, consider black currant seed oil. Black currant seed oil, the GLA source of GLA-90 – is a better balanced omega fat (containing both omega 3s and 6s). I recommend two, twice per day for weight loss but this amount can easily be doubled to combat skin dryness and itchiness. For eczema and psoriasis, GLA is also a natural soother. For these conditions, try 2 to 3 grams of GLA per day.
If you want to stop fine lines from appearing, use BeauCle’s Ultra Hydrating Moisture and Overnight Corrective Crème both of which contain topical fatty acids from the most treasured sources around the world like apricot kernel oil, squalane from olives, jojoba oil, GLA-rich borage oil, and Sea Buckthorn oil.
It’s time to pay attention to the kind of signals your body has been sending – and take heed. Living Beauty is right at your fingertips.

Instead try these.
Honey. It contains traces of B vitamins, folate, iron,

compounds such as quercetin and caffeic acid, which boost

Pure Maple Syrup. It contains minerals such as manganese,
zinc, and calcium. But we mean real maple syrup- not cheap
stuff, which is a mix of high fructose corn syrup and
caramel-colored dye.
Blackstrap Molasses. This was the most popular sweetener
in the United States until the 1880's. It contains vitamin
B6, magnesium, manganese, calcium, selenium, and more iron
than a chicken breast."

Holiday Super Juice
The ancient fruit that symbolizes long life and fights fatigue.
You’re tired.
You’re rushed.
You’re stressed.
I don’t blame you. The holidays can take a toll on your nerves and your health. So here’s a quick seasonal fix that will renew your holiday spirit: pomegranate juice.
The word pomegranate is translated as “apple with many seeds” from the ancient Hebrew. This exotic fruit dates back to the Garden of Eden and scholars now believe that Eve’s apple was really a pomegranate!
Not only is this delectable fruit steeped in religious significance, mythology, and legend (the pomegranate was said to be the favorite food of the gods and symbolized long life, regeneration and marriage) but it has modern day scientific backing that is very impressive. A study at the University of California found that the antioxidant activity of commercial pomegranate juice is three times higher than that of red wine and green tea–and without the potential sulfites from wine or copper overload from tea.
Additional studies have shown that pomegranate juice, similar in many respects to the wildly popular fat flushing cranberry juice, has also demonstrated incredibly high antioxidant activity as shown on the ORAC scale. In fact only four ounces of the unsweetened pomegranate juice per day can help reduce and may even reverse arterial lesions.
I have created a holiday super food juice you can use to boost your immunity and revive your spirit. Use this as a festive alternative to your everyday cran-water or even add pom concentrate to your smoothies, marinades, salad dressings and salsas.
Christmas Cran-Pom Beverage
Makes 32 ounces.
2 ounces unsweetened cranberry juice
2 ounces unsweetened pom juice
28 ounces plain water
(Double the recipe to make 64 ounces.)
Toted around in our BPA-free water bottles, you are ready to face the world!

The Whole Truth About Cane Sugar
"To counter corn syrup's bad rap, food marketers are touting
fancy soft drinks made with "real cane sugar." But are they
any better than their shelf mates? No, says Christine Gerbstadt,
MD, a spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association.
"Extensive research shows there's no difference among the common
sweeteners when it comes to increasing obesity, hunger, or
metabolic syndrome," she says. So limit those sweet treats no
matter what gives them a sugary kick."

How Was Your Bun Experience?
"Has anyone talked to you about the G/F buns at the Burgerville on 164th. My sister and I went there Saturday and I ordered a burger with the g/f bun. It was awful. The burger came separately from the bun. The bun was cold and fell apart in my hands. I won't be going there again. I think they are Jensen buns. The same ones I order at Subway, however, I love the sandwiches at Subway. Subway warms them and that may be the difference."
Oh! Goodness Baking

BeFreeForMe
BeFreeForMe.com is the first and only web site to offer coupons and samples to gluten and food allergy-free consumers. Be Free For Me enables people who suffer with gluten intolerance and nut, dairy, fish and soy allergies to find support, recipes, reviews, articles and coupons to effectively manage their allergies and save money in the process.
The site, launched by Kathleen Reale, provides savings for gluten and other food allergy sufferers. For the past 20 years, Reale ran a highly profitable and successful event marketing and in-store demonstration company. The company received numerous awards and was recognized by Ernst & Young as a Top Growth Business in Massachusetts. In addition, Reale received numerous entrepreneurial awards including her selection as a US Small Business Administration Mentor for The Women’s Network for Entrepreneurial Training Program.
After living with family members with various food allergies, Reale herself received a life-altering celiac diagnosis in 2004. At that time she began thinking of a way to merge her passion for celiac & food allergy awareness with her marketing, promotions and business acumen.
Over the past four years Reale has learned what many celiac sufferers discover – living a gluten-free lifestyle takes preparation, time and money. As she saw her and her family’s grocery bills skyrocket, she decided to put her product and in-store demonstration experience to work and created BeFreeForMe, a savings community for food intolerant and food allergy-free consumers. The site offers Reale’s and other expert's opinions on various allergy related topics, as well as a monthly newsletter and quarterly coupon book, which will help people try new gluten and allergy-free foods at discount prices. In addition, the BeFreeForMe blog features products that appeal to Kathleen, are worthy of sharing, and offer tremendous value for other allergy sufferers.

Beat High Blood Pressure in Bed
"Sleep deprivation not only affects your energy level, it now
has also been linked to high blood pressure, according to a new
study published in Hypertension. During slow wave sleep (SWS)-
a cycle of deep sleep- your heart beats slower, resulting in a
drop in blood pressure. Missing this nighttime dip may adversely
affect blood-pressure-regulating organs such as the kidneys,
leading to higher daytime numbers, says study author Susan
Redline, MD. Anything that disrupts sleep- snoring, sleep apnea,
your dog at the foot of the bed- can shorten SWS hours, which also

has also been linked to high blood pressure, according to a new
study published in Hypertension. During slow wave sleep (SWS)-
a cycle of deep sleep- your heart beats slower, resulting in a

Juicing: A Creative Way To Get Your Nutrients

Juicing: A creative way to get your nutrients
by guest writer Allison Brooks
Many people today don’t understand how food really works with our bodies (or at least I didn’t). Most know that there are healthy foods, processed foods, fuel foods, and then those fast-foods, but not everyone knows how those foods work with our body. It wasn’t until the documentary, Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead, came out that I learned what phytochemicals, lycopene, and other foreign words were. But after some research I learned how these natural chemicals interact with our body to promote healthy function, and that all my “natural” foods weren’t so natural anymore.
Many of these natural mixes and chemistry-knowledge have led many naturopathic and homeopathic practitioners to produce immune booster to help the body during its weakest times. These range from common cold remedies, to post-workout relief, and to more serious issues like cancer. This does not mean that these juices cure cancer, but instead aid the body and keep it strong during very intense conventional treatments. Many doctors see that benefits from these natural juices and have recommended patients with a cancer prognosis, to practice juicing with specific recipes or take classes to learn the helpful components of each ingredient. This is not only a healthy addition for patients, but it also gives them a sense of control when life might seem out of their reach.
So today, I have listed a couple of yummy recipes to spur any cleanse, detox, immune boost, or just healthy treat. Best part the prep time is just a matter of seconds. Hope you enjoy!!
Day After Thanksgiving Treat:
This juice is a healthy way to use some of those turkey-day leftovers.
Ingredients:
1 cup cranberries
1 orange, peel removed
1 apple
1 cup butternut squash, cubed
4-6 leaves collard greens (about 1 cup, packed) Directions:
* Wash produce well
* Juice
* Pour over ice
* Sprinkle cinnamon on top of juice
Enjoy!
Hawaiian Getaway
This juice has actually been studied, and used in cancer hospitals to give patients a healthy boost and delicious treat. It is rich in antioxidants and great for digestion, and its a little taste of paradise.
Ingredients:
¼ Pineapple
1 cup blueberries
1 piece for fresh ginger (roughly ½ inch)
Directions:
* Wash ingredients
* Core and Peel Pineapple
* Juice
* Pour over or blend ice
* Sprinkle coconut on top for an added island feel.
More daily juice ideas can be found at the Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead website.

The Amish Don’t Get Autism? And They Don’t Get Vaccinations – Possible Link?
Posted on June 7, 2011 by WV Outpost
People outside the alternative health community are often confused by the lack of autism in the Amish people. The Amish do not experience autism, or any of the other learning disabilities that plague our technological society. The Amish live in a society that consists of outdated technologies and ideals, by contemporary standards. Their diet consists of eating organic, fresh, locally-grown produce, and of , they do not follow the established vaccination routines. To the dismay of the mainstream media and the medical establishment, this has resulted in a ier people, that are void of all of our chronic diseases. Heart disease, cancer, and diabetes are virtually non-existent in Amish villages. Equally non-existent are modern, chemically-engineered medicines, enhanced (chemically-engineered) foods, G.M.O. foods, and of course, vaccines. How is it that those who are without the “miracles” of modern orthodox medicine are healthier? The truth about health, medicine, and how they both relate to the Amish is becoming an embarrassment to some rather powerful people.
There have been 3 (yes three) verified cases of autism in the Amish, and at least two of those children were vaccinated. No information is available for the third. The strong correlation between vaccinations and autism is absolutely undeniable, unless you work for the medical establishment, the government, or Big Media. Proponents of the status-quo claim that the Amish obviously have a special super gene that makes them immune to autism. They pathetically try to rationalize that autism is some type of genetic failure (i.e. God’s fault), which attacks a brain based on religious affiliation. We’re tentatively expecting a space alien theory next, in a similar vein to the aliens theory used to attack those who believe in a Creator. This is truly is F.D.A. and A.M.A. science in all its shining glory. Vaccine proponents are willing to espouse any ridiculous explanation, so long as they do not have to accept that their entire industry of vaccinations is causing chronic disease, leaving autism for 1 in every 100 children now.
When the Amish are simply left alone, to live free of chemical toxins found in our medicines and foods, they are not plagued with diseases, ing disabilities, or autism. They are categorically more intelligent, with the exception of advanced (college-level) writing skills, which is explainable by the fact that English is not their primary language. Could it be those same Amish ‘super genes’ at work again? Society could learn greatly from their example, if we would only stop poisoning ourselves, and our children on a routine basis.

Heating Up For The Holidays
Tap into the detox dieting power of infrared sauna therapy.
Footbaths. Vibrational exercise machines. Infrared technology. It seems that high tech cleansing therapies are “hotter” than ever for the 2011 holiday season. Interestingly, the age-old method of sweating for body purification is even making a comeback.
And that’s a good thing because sweating is one of the safest advanced detox techniques for staying healthy. Sweat carries toxins out of the body and pushes them through the pores. Pores on the surface of the skin—the largest organ of the body—play an unexpected role in the cleansing process. Researchers have identified many toxic substances—including heavy metals —which are secreted from the body through the sweat. The more we can safely sweat (while maintaining adequate hydration), the more toxins can be released.
Sweating in some ways can be compared to fever—Mother Nature’s emergency healing process. When heating up the body in a sauna, microbes and latent viruses are killed and pH is raised to a more alkaline level which is inhospitable for pathogens to survive. When you profusely sweat, fatty tissues vibrate much faster and then dump toxins like aluminum and mercury into the body’s interstitial fluid which in turn are released through the skin’s pores. Toxic substances like formaldehyde, nicotine, alcohol, and drugs are also released.
Heat therapy has a long history associated with detoxification. In North America, Native Americans turned to sweat lodges for both spiritual and body purification. The Finns, Swedes, and other Scandinavians sweated the winter blues away with steamy saunas. Heat therapy was specifically used to help miners eliminate heavy metal poisoning in the 1950s. Today, many integrative medical doctors and naturopaths promote the use of the infrared sauna as the most effective way to stimulate gentle but deep cleansing while bathing the body with healing frequencies that enhance overall health and healing.
Infrared is much more thorough than other steam or heat sauna therapies. Infrared energy waves—which are part of the invisible spectrum of light emitted from the sun—can easily penetrate tissue to about three inches deep. By penetrating more deeply, the cleansing impact is dramatically enhanced. Just 30 minutes in a far-infrared can increase the metabolic rate to such a degree that you can burn up to 600 calories.
That said, not all infrared saunas are created equal!
The infrared heat generated by a Sunlighten sauna produces sweat that consists of on average nearly 20% toxins versus only 3% in a traditional sauna. Detox from a Sunlighten sauna is up to 7 times more effective than in a traditional one. The advantage of Sunlighten infrared saunas is their proprietary heating technology. Sunlighten’s saunas can raise the core body temperature to over 100 degrees F. — a major factor to successful detoxification. As a result, regular usage of a Sunlighten sauna provides a deep and detoxifying sweat at the cellular level, where toxins reside.
Rejuvenating detoxification, circulation, relaxation, enhanced immunity, wound healing, balanced blood pressure, and even weight loss are some of the healthy benefits of good old fashioned sweating—the infrared way. Sunlighten also makes the only full spectrum infrared sauna. Full spectrum infrared consists of near, mid and far wavelengths—all of which provide different health benefits.
Make the Sunlighten Sauna your holiday headquarters to regenerate for the upcoming New Year. It’s a gift that the whole family can benefit from and enjoy. The good folks at Sunlighten have graciously agreed to offer my blog subscribers a gift with sauna purchase. Call 877-292-0020 mention promo code ALG to receive an all-Natural Sauna Cleaning Kit with your order.
